I Equipment Overview

High-speed centrifugal spray dryer is a kind of advanced equipment that uses the high-speed rotating centrifugal disk to atomize the liquid material into tiny droplets and quickly complete the drying process in the hot air environment. It is widely used in pharmaceutical, food, chemical, dyestuff, ceramic materials and other industries, and can efficiently convert wet materials into powder or granular products with uniform particles, good solubility and high purity.


II.Working principle

The working principle of the high speed centrifugal spray dryer is based on the action of centrifugal force. The liquid material enters the high-speed rotating centrifugal disc through the feed tube, and is thrown out and atomized into tiny droplets under the action of centrifugal force. At the same time, after the hot air is heated to a predetermined temperature by the heater, it enters the drying chamber in the tangential direction and carries out sufficient heat and mass exchange with the atomized droplets, so that the water in the droplets quickly evaporates. The dried product enters the collection system with the air flow, and the tail gas is discharged after being treated by the dust removal device.


III. Centrifugal spray system design

1.Centrifugal Disc Design

Centrifugal disc is the core component of centrifugal spray system, and its speed and structure design directly affect the atomization effect. Usually made of stainless steel, precision machining to ensure smooth surface, no dead corners, to reduce material residue and blockage. The speed of the centrifugal disc can be adjusted according to the nature of the material and drying requirements to achieve the best atomization effect.


2. Nozzle and diversion device

Although high-speed centrifugal spray dryers rely primarily on centrifugal discs for atomization, some models may also be equipped with auxiliary nozzles to further refine the droplets. At the same time, the drying room is equipped with a diversion device to ensure the uniform mixing and effective contact of hot air and fog droplets.


3.Detailed explanation of heating and drying system

Heat source Selection:

Heating and drying systems usually use electric heating, steam heating or gas heating. Select the right heat source according to the production scale and energy consumption requirements. Electric heating has the advantages of precise temperature control and simple maintenance. Steam heating and gas heating have the advantages of high thermal efficiency and low cost.


Hot Air Circulation System:

The hot air circulation system includes a hot air generator, a hot air distributor, a drying chamber and a exhaust gas recovery device. After the hot air exchanges heat and mass with the droplets in the drying room, some of the tail gas may carry small particles that are not completely dried, and need to be recovered by the dust removal device. The recovered hot air can be partially or fully returned to the hot air generator for reheating to improve energy efficiency.


4.Control systems and automation

IV. Operation process and maintenance

Operation Process :

1. Check before starting: ensure that all components are correctly installed and securely connected; Check the supply of power, air, etc.; Clean dry room and pipes of debris.
2. Preheating system: Turn on the heat source device to preheat the hot air to the predetermined temperature.

3.Feed and start: start the centrifugal spray system and feed slowly; Start the hot air circulation system at the same time.
4. Monitoring and adjustment: monitor hot air temperature, centrifugal disk speed and other parameters according to process requirements; Adjust in time to maintain the best drying effect.
5. Collection of products: The dried products are collected and packaged through the collection system.
6. Shutdown and cleaning: After shutdown, clean the residual materials in the drying room and pipes;Turn off the power and air supply.


Maintenance :

- Regularly clean the accumulated material and dust in the drying chamber and pipes;

- Check the wear of key components such as centrifugal discs and nozzles and replace them in time;
- Check the working status of electrical system and control system regularly;

1.Daily cleaning
